About
Dinaka
Dinaka is nestled on the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve within a 40,000-hectare private conservancy, offering a unique and ever-changing desert landscape. Acquired in 2017, this five-star, eco-tourism certified camp provides an ideal beginning or end to any discerning traveler's Botswana safari, showcasing a biodiversity that includes the Kalahari lion, springbok, Oryx, and brown hyena. The camp features seven spacious twin and double-bedded safari tents, along with a two-bedroom family tent, all with en-suite bathrooms and indoor/outdoor showers. Each tent is strategically raised on wooden decks, offering magnificent views of a permanent waterhole. The camp is wheelchair-friendly, with all areas connected by wooden walkways. Guests can also enjoy the unique "Sleep Out Deck" for a night under the stars and an underground photographic bunker for incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. Dinaka offers a diverse range of activities to immerse guests in the Kalahari experience, from morning and afternoon game drives that often extend into night drives, to guided bush walks. An educational walk with the San Bushmen provides cultural insights. Birding enthusiasts will be thrilled with over 200 species. Dinaka provides a compelling contrast to a stay in the Okavango Delta, revealing the hidden treasures of the desert.
